Congratulations and thank you for accepting the position as the new
administrator of Cole Elementary School. Please allow me to assure you, that
you will obtain a wonderful working experience as you get to know your staff,
your students, and your families within the community. As a leader, please
remember the following five important principles: 1. Provide the best learning
experience within a safe facility for both your staff and students; 2. Strive to
demonstrate integrity and leadership skills on a daily basis, especially when it
comes to making decisions for the well-being of your staff and students; 3.
Value the knowledge and wisdom of all staff members, because you all are a
team, who continuously advocate successful student learning and growth; 4.
Lead your staff, students, parents, and the community to respect each other
and work together as a team; and 5. Take the time to embrace and enjoy your
new school family in a fun and exciting manner. After all, a learning facility
can also be a fun-filled facility!
Whenever you are faced to make decisions regarding your staff and students,
please take the time to remember what is best for all students needs, what are
the best learning acquisition methods for all students, and what is best for all
your staff members, in which will allow them to continuously and effectively
build upon their leadership skills within the classrooms, and build on their
working experience as a school family unit.
Last but not least, remember that all your hard work has led you to become the
leader of this school, and you were called to be in such a great and rewarding
position. The most rewarding part of this position entails observations of your
students learning to become lifelong learners and productive citizens within
their communities. And, before you rest your head on your pillow at night after
a day of leading, may you feel a sense of pride and self-satisfaction, because

you are touching the lives of hundreds of kids, touching the lives of many staff
members, and you are assisting hundreds of parents raising future leaders!
