1. What are the roles of NSTP in nation building?

My opinion regarding National Service Training Program is about enhancing the youth
civic consciousness and defense preparedness in developing the ethics of service and
patriotism. The government affirmed their prime duty to serve and protect its citizens.
Recognizing the youths vital role in nation building and develop their physical, moral,
spiritual, intellectual and social well being.
Advantages
This program help us student to choose our preferred subject to enroll and can easily
adjust our schedule. Allowing us to cross enroll National Service Training Program and
Reserve Officer Training Corps to other school if not available in school where we
enrolled and choose between NSTP and ROTC programs. The Commission on Higher
Education (CHED), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (ESDA),
Department of National Defense (DND),Philippine Association of State Universities and
Colleges (PASUC) AND Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations of
the Philippines (COCOPEA) and other concerned government agencies design and
implement this program which we can avail 50% of what is currently charged by school
per unit. They provide scholarship for those qualified students taking the NSTP and
health insurance and accident.

2. What is the connection of St. La Salles life to the role of NSTP in the formation of DLSCSB students?

The connection of St. La Salles life to the role of NSTP would be for us to be a
responsible youth to the society by representing and being the ambassador of DLS-CSB.
And also reflecting through St. La Salles teachings and as well practicing the NSTP
services like CWTS and LTS that would help to mold us in contributing to nation
building.
