School Holiday Programme

Report
• All participating districts gave reports about their sites

• Two Districts were outstanding, i.e (Mr Andries’s JC District and Mr

Mabasa’s District in Thembisa)

• There’s a possibility of site managers being thanked.

• No special budget is available for the SHP.

• The JHB Fruit Produce Market has promised a donation of fruit to the SHP.

• Danon, the yoghurt maker , has also indicated interest in donating.

• Sci-Bono can deploy staff(of about 15) to sites if a request is made in

advance.

• G-cars should be made available to officials during the Holiday programme

as schools will be closed.

• N.B That the committee should invite and involve more officials to take
part in this venture and make it more transversal.

Recommendations

• That All districts begin to plan for June HOLIDAYS

• Ward Councillors be utilized

• Management plans be drawn available on the 5th May

2010 during coordinators meeting to be held at JC
District on the day.
 • HO to visit sites on the 10th May 2010.
