I helped customers find what they where looking for, I learned different
parts of the store by filling in, in areas that where short on help. My
main job was to cashier.
Take customer phone orders, take orders from walk in customers, help
prepare the food orders, cook special orders, help in the kitchen when
needed. Clean and prepare for the following day while doing the closing
of the resterant. Count down the cash drawer at 2pm and then again at
9:30 pm.
Answer questions for the public, hand out bus routes. Sell student and
adult bus passes. Direct passengers to the correct bus. Count drawer in at
11 and count drawer out at 4:00pm, make sure it balances. Get bank
deposit ready for pick up. Lock it up in the safe.
Started out as Christmas help, approximately six months later was made
Customer Service Manager. Was trained to be Assistant Manager to the
Showroom. I trained cashiers, made work assignments for other
employees, I did the Showroom schedule. I opened the Showroom
Department, and all the cash drawers, I had keys to all the locked cases,
and to management only drawers. I did mark downs, price changes, and
handled returns.
