Side Note, because I am currently backpacking Hawaii and my time to loiter at Starbucks is
limited to sit and develop an entire cover letter:
I am absolutely determined to find a live-in position in a wonderful place. I will make my
life beautiful and worth living, and this application is a part of me making that happen.
One of the main differences between your other applicants is that I HAVE to find this sort
of job. I HAVE to excel. Big words aside I am an excellent worker. I had another job I didn’t
list who made me a shift lead before two months of employment, but Covid happened so I
didn’t work there long enough there to believe it’s worth detailing. You may notice a gap
in my employment history, and believe me, I want to point that out so you don’t think I
“fell off,” that doesn’t mean I am unmotivated; instead of suffering from the pandemic, I
made the most of things, like I always do, and took the opportunity to travel the entirety
of the United States. I figure things out, and get them done to the best of my ability in
many aspects of life, it’s who I am. From Michigan to Cali in a convertible mustang over
mamonths. Now, I landed in Hawaii to continue my Odyssey. I am telling you this so you
can understand that it was worth the employment gap (also during a pandemic) and I
wouldn’t change it for the world. I NEED to start working again, as my funds are not
unlimited. I AM FULLY VACCINATED. I am currently in Hawaii but I am willing to fly Page 2
anywhere in the US for this position and can do a remote interview via zoom or similar
program, any time.
