The case has been reexamined. ABAD was asked to explain position and reply
is placed at Flag “A”. It is submitted that original cost of the scheme was Rs. 10.0 million
which included building component of Rs. 4.390 million and PHED component of Rs. 5.610
million. As far as releases and utilizations is concerned, Rs. 20.0 million were released against
the original cost of Rs. 10.0 million and there is no solid reason for that. However utilization
of the scheme is Rs. 6.408 million. Public Health has utilized Rs. 2.450 million and Building
Department utilized Rs. 3.958 million.
As desired by Chairman P&D scheme was revised. PC-I of the revised scheme
has also been forwarded on 31.01.2009 for approval of the DDSC at cost of Rs 28.475
million. However to execute the water supply/sewerage system as approved in original
scheme, an amount of Rs. 3.0 million is demanded as works are reported at full swing.
As additional demand of Rs. 3.0 million is within the approved scope so it is
recommend that Rs. 3.0 million may be provided and surrender of the same amount may be
considered from other scheme of ABAD No. 1415 “Barani Village Development Project”
having an allocation of Rs. 5.0 million.

Subject:- ADDITION / ALTERATION OF ABAD COLONY

PUC refer to the PDWP meeting held in the office chamber of Secretary,
P&D on 14.02.2009.
ABAD has updated the estimate addressing the concern conveyed by
Deputy Secretary, Finance Department and also submitted annotative reply on the
observations which were raised in the meeting (Flag “A”). Map indicating the work done
and works to be done is also a part of revised PC-I.
Secretary, P&D may consider to convey time and date suitable to convene
DDSC meeting. Working paper may be issued accordingly.
