AIM : Students will be able to describe family members , personal


possessions ; identify some objects .

METHOD : Eclectic method , communicative approach , role playing , group-work


and pair-work

SOURCES : New Bridge to success grade 9 students’ book , workbook , grammar


books , worksheet, dvd player , cds , dvds , dictionaries

PROCEDURE :
I - warm up : students will look at the pictures on the book and will talk about
the possession structures and the family members . - as they can ( may be in
Turkish )

II- possessive s and possessive adjectives : my your his her our your their .
Ahmet ‘s book - his book
My and his book - our book
How many boks have you got ?
Which book is on the table ? - which one is on the table ?
Plural nouns: regular irregular
Chair + s person – people etc.
Plural forms of pronouns – this that -- these those
* definite article ‘ the ‘ and the indefinite articles ‘ a / an ‘
eg.
I have got a dog . This is my dog. The dog on the table is Ali’s dog.

VOCABULARY :
Nouns ; family members , father , mother , brother , sister , grandson , nephew etc.
Personal belongings ; compuret , cassette recorder , camera etc.
Adjectives : big , small , young old , etc.
All the exercises and the reading activities from page 9 to page 16 on New Bridge to
Success will be done .

Homework : Students will do the exercises on their workbooks and on their


worksheets.
