LEARNING OBJECTIVE 1. At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to express basic likes for at least 3
animals correctly.
ACTIVITIES PRE-LESSON Teacher asks pupils to sound as the animals the teacher says.
For example, teacher says cow and pupils sound like a cow
with the ‘moo’
LESSON DELIVERY 1. Teacher holds up a flashcard of an animal. Teacher tells
the pupils that it is teacher’s favourite one. Pupils should say
‘(teacher’s name)’s favourite animal is _____.
2. Teacher holds up a few other flashcards and pupils say out
the same sentence pattern based on the flashcards shown.
3. Pupils are given the Animal Substitution Table Worksheet.
Teacher shows an example to pupils.
4. Pupils complete the worksheet.
POST LESSON Pupils share their answers with the teacher.

PRE-LESSON Task 1: Work Out the Words.
LESSON DELIVERY Activity 4 (SB page 47)
1. Students asked attention to the children and asked to guess
what they are doing.
2. Teacher plays the CD and students repeat the dialogue
chorally. Students model the dialogue individually.
Students divided into pairs. Students take turns to ask and
answer similar questions about the clothes in activity 3.
3. Pairs of students present the dialogue to the rest of the
class.

1. Teacher give out the cards and students asked to draw a piece of
clothing on them. They shouldn’t write their name, but should write
a code name.
2. Student collect the cards and redistribute them. Students should
mingle around the classroom to try to find the artist. They can ask
Whose xxx? or Is this yours/hers? etc. When students answer, they
encouraged to give a reason for their answer,

for example:
I think it’s Hanifa’s because she likes red shoes.

I think they’re Ahmad’s because Ahmad is good at drawing.


or I’m sorry, I do not know.

When they have found the artist, they should write that
student’s name on the card, return the card to teacher and
sit down. If there are difficulties finding the artist for some
cards, those students asked to wait at the front of the
classroom. At the end of the activity, have the others sit
back down and these students can ask the whole class.

Activity 2 into their exercise books.
2. Pupils listen to CD2 Track 19 and fill in the blanks of Joe’s
notebook.
3. Pupils are given a quiz set to complete individually.
4. Pupils exchange their quiz sets with another group upon
discussion with the teacher.

POST LESSON Pupils discuss the answers with the teacher.
