This task aims to introduce students the family members. Students can work in
pairs. Then, make them listen to the tape and correct their answers together.
Please provide sufficient time to practice the words during this activity. You may

2B. READING
1. Do you watch ‘‘The Amazing World of Gumball’’? Who is your favourite
character?
Designed as an icebreaker activity, this task introduces your students to the text.

2. Listen and read the text. Then, complete the family tree below.
Students will listen and read the text at the same time. This will allow them to
hear the correct pronunciation of the words. They will read the text for specific
information and then will complete the family tree.

2E. WRITING
1. Write a paragraph about yourself and your family.
This writing activity is designed as students’ first comprehensive writing, i.e.
creating a meaningful text (4-5 sentences) that revolves around a particular theme.
Make sure to dedicate at least a lesson hour for this activity. Make sure that
students answer all the given questions.

This grammar section aims to teach and familiarize students with possessive
adjectives. You may consider assigning extra activities for your students.

This comic story is designed for students to practice the use of possessive
adjectives and to internalize some of the important ways of asking and answering

own comic story at the end.
