NORTHERN CALIFORNIA STATE MILITIA

TRAINING WARNING ORDER: 21-11-10


1. SITUATION

Elements of the Northern California State Militia will be meeting


for a Field Training Exercise (FTX) Sunday, 21 Nov, 2010 at the Walker Ridge
Assembly Area near Woodland CA.

2. MISSION.

Troops will begin arriving at 0830hrs for training. Training, commencing at 0900, will
include search and rescue techniques and conducting a tracking patrol

3. EXECUTION.
a. Concept of Operation.

Participants in the training will receive instruction on two core topics throughout the day.
Following the instruction there will be an exercise for participants to apply the skills
learned in the class.

b. Tasks to Maneuver Units.

1. Participants will learn the techniques of search and rescue starting at


0900HRS

2. 1100HRS Participants will learn how to conduct a tracking patrol

2. Troops will conduct a short search and rescue exercise applying techniques and
elements covered in the class.

c. Tasks to Combat Support Units.

There are no support units for this exercise.

d. Coordinating Instructions.

1. Uniform
• Boots w/ extra socks

2. Equipment
• Troops are to bring all the level 1 readiness equipment they have to include
their rucksacks
• Load Bearing Equipment w/ water system (bladder or canteen)
• Gloves
• Compass

4. SERVICE SUPPORT.

1. Participants bring a noon meal

5. COMMAND AND SIGNAL.


a. Command.
• Normal Squad SOP’s in effect for each detachment

b. Signal.
• Squad radios will be used on this exercise
