Stephen Hawking

Stephen Hawking was born on January 8, 1942 and grew up in

Oxford, England. He studied physics in a University. He was a
Physicist who was paralyzed at 21 and was then diagnosed with
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) also known as Lou Gehrig's
disease. This disease wears down your muscle movement and control
over the moving of certain muscles.

Stephen Hawking discovered that in portions of space, where gravity

is so strong that nothing can escape the gravity. Black holes form
when a star with 3 times more mass of the sun burns off all its fuel and
then crashes in on itself. Then the gravity pulls all the matter around it
into a maelstrom.

Hawking also discovered that black holes are necessarily black but
emit radiation. He is the reason we understand black holes. He also
discovered the Big Bang theory. He realized that in order for the Earth
to have been created mass, time and space must have begun at the
same time and then developed from particles of matter.

Stephen Hawking is now in a wheel chair and is still trying to discover

new things about science. He has someone who watches him and
records all of his findings and sayings.
