Time Comments
Introduction: 10 min -Students are introduced about the new unit “People and
Place” in which they comment the pictures in the book.
They highlight the importance of those characters through
the history.
Core of the class 20 min -Students are presented the first lesson of the unit called
Pre-stage: “Folk Heroes” through a power point presentation.
-They watch some famous characters and make comments
about them. Then students match each character with their
place of origin.
- Students learn new words through the Pictionary before
reading the text.
While-stage: 25 min -Students read the text twice at least in order to get general
and specific information.
-They identify the character in each paragraph.
Post-stage: 20 min -Students read the sentences and decide “Who is Who?”
writing under the characters in the chart.
-They decide if the sentences are statements or inferences.
-They do the crossword with words appeared in the text.
Closing: 15 min -Students check the use of preposition of time (on, in, at)
and their use in days, year and time respectively.
