Rules & Regulations

1. All teams must have their own team jerseys with at least having a number on their
backs (no duplicate numbers). We encourage you to have two jerseys of different
color per team to avoid any mix-ups with other teams, but that’s optional.
2. All teams must submit $300.00 (Three hundred dollars) fee to Capital Area Tibetan
Youth Congress. The fee would be collected after the teams have been accepted
into the tournament. Pay it by Money Order, Western Union, or Check.
3. The limitation on the number of teams from a state (2 teams) still holds since we
are expecting many teams from various states; however, if we didn't get the
number of teams that we expected from other states, we will change it. The whole
point of this limitation is to get teams from different states (to have diversity)
rather than four or five teams from some states (e.g. MN or NY).
4. Game referees will be hired from outside sources. Any team or player that
consistently argues with referees or exhibits any means of objectionable behavior
(including, but not limited to forceful intimidation, verbal threats or physical
violence) will NOT be tolerated and will subject the team to disqualification
immediately. Let’s not make it as GCM.
5. This is an ALL-TIBETAN Basketball Tournament. Please have the President of
your local Tibetan association approve and sign the application.
6. Game referees and Tournament committee will decide any disputes and their
decision is final.
7. The Capital Area Tibetan Youth Congress is not responsible for any injuries or
accidents incurred during the tournament, or for the loss and/or damage of any
items.

This application form must be filled in order to participate in the upcoming 2011
Kalachakra Basketball Tournament in the DMV* area. By signing this application, I, the
captain of this team, on behalf of each individual player, acknowledge that we have read
and will abide by all the Rules & Regulations that govern this tournament. Also, that all
the information presented here is true to the team’s best knowledge and have
understood the rules of this tournament in good faith. We understand that any violation
of the Rules & Regulation could result in the team’s disqualification from the tournament.
We recognize this tournament as a Drug and Alcohol Free Event. As the captain of this
team, I affix my personal signature as verification to the preceding statement.
