What is a sentence?
A SENTENCE IS A GROUP OF WORDS THAT
EXPRESSES A COMPLETE THOUGHT.
What is a simple sentence?
A SIMPLE SENTENCE CONSISTS OF A
SINGLE INDEPENDENT CLAUSE=

ONE SUBJECT AND ONE VERB


What is a subject?
• A SUBJECT TELLS WHO OR WHAT IS BEING
TALKED ABOUT IN THE SENTENCE.
