Bottle Biology Lab

Aim : To see the effect of using water and pepper water for the plant

Hypothesis : The plant on with water and pepper water will grow, but the one without water will
be taller.

Variables :

Apparatus :

 Two bottle (1.5 L)

 Soil
 2 Seeds (1 seed per bottle)
 Cups for soil
 Pepper
 Tape
 Bladder

Method :

 Cut the bottle into ¼ and ¾ ( top ¼ and bottom ¾ )

 Poke a hole at the cap of the bottle
 Put a string through it and tie knot so won’t slip away
 Put soil at the top bottle
 Put seed in the soil
 Put water at the bottom of the bottle
 Put the top on the bottom bottle and the string in the water
 Repeat the same thing but with pepper and water

Conclusion:

The data shows that the hypothesis was wrong, because the plant with pepper grew taller instead of
the one without pepper.

The plant with pepper water is taller than the plant with water. The plant with pepper water grew
two out but the water plant only grew one.
