Happenings in Our Class

The students are amazing! I can tell already what a fun, intelligent, and kind-hearted class we will have. I am looking forward to building a respecting relationship with each child. The first few days, the students have participated in several activities getting to know each other and I can see some new friendships forming, old friendships growing stronger, and excitement to be with their classmates. We have also covered daily routines, created our classroom norms and expectations. Students also took two inventories (tests) this week! They were spectacular! They got right to work without any hesitation and asked wonderful questions. These tests will help our grade level identify students who need extra help, and will provide us with information about skills that need to be retaught or emphasized in the classroom. Your children amazed me as they worked hard and followed directions. It is obvious they care about their education.

Reading logs begin this week!!!! Please remember that your child is expected to complete 100 minutes of reading each week. Please document this in the PURPLE FRIDAY FOLDER.
