American Red Cross: Lifeguarding Certification

Are you 15 or older and looking for a great job or career? American Red Cross Lifeguarding is the best place to start! Lifeguarding puts you in an exciting position, working as part of a team to help people safely enjoy the water. Ages 15+ When: Sept. 22nd Dec. 1st Thursdays/ 5:30-8:30p ** 2 Saturday classes included TBA ** Where Williamsport YMCA Pool & Williamsport High School (select days only) Contact Casey Shilling/Williamsport YMCA at 323-7134 ext. 25 Member/Non-Member Full Course: $165-$185 Additional Info: Certification comes with: Lifeguarding and First Aid for the Professional Rescuer, Blood Borne Pathogens Training, and CPR and AED for the Professional Rescuer. All participants must be able to swim 300 yards continuously (100 front crawl, 100 Breaststroke, 100 choice of the two). All participants must be able to do a 20 yard swim, surface dive 7-10 feet, retrieve a 10lb object, and exit within 1 minute and 40 secs.
