NOTICES Mid Year Report: Thank you to the parents who gave us feedback on the mid-year reports and report format. The feedback we received was very positive and parents felt they were receiving adequate information on their childs learning and achievement. They also believed they had a clear understanding of where their child sat in relation to National Standards. Art Voyaging & the Kermadecs: The City Gallery visit was extremely well received and the students thoroughly enjoyed this rich learning experience. A variety of artists, and scientists presented their findings on a recent marine expedition to the Kermadecs. Enviroschool Facilitator: CTMS is an Enviroschool with a commitment to Environmental Education. This Thursday the Enviroschool facilitator will be giving a workshop to Kahikatea, presenting a Maori perspective of the environment through an understanding of the Whakapapa for Ranginui and Papatuanuku. Visit by the Mexican Ambassador: Next Friday CTMS will be hosting a visit by the Mexican Ambassador. The children will be greeting her in Spanish and singing a waiata at our morning hui. She had expressed an interest in seeing our Spanish and te reo Maori programme across the school. Arrival time at school: Staff has moved to the MOE recommended electronic attendance register. Attendance is electronically logged at 9am justified or unjustified attendance is recorded and then checked by Raewyn, our Office Manager. It is imperative that all students arrive at school by 8:55 am. If your child is going to be late or absent, please phone the school before 8:55 am or report to the office on arrival. We appreciate your assistance. Variety Concert/Talent Quest: Children are busy rehearing for the up-coming Variety Show/Talent Quest on Thursday 6 October. Please check to see if your child needs any support with music, costuming etc
