NOTICES:
Parent/Teacher Interviews: Thank you to the parents/caregivers who were able to attend
parent/teacher/student interviews. These were well attended by families and students across the school. The
students have set personal goals in Reading, Writing & Mathematics and a Life Goal, we will be working towards
achieving these personal goals. They will be revaluated mid-year.
Brigid on Leave: Brigid will be on leave from 4 April–15 April to help care for her sick father. The classroom
programme will be maintained with Suzanne (teaching her normal programme), Sandra Thomas and Leigh Malcolm.
Accommodation required: We have a family from overseas who is keen to buy or rent a house in the CTMS zone.

Autumn PTA Raffle: Parents will have received an envelope yesterday with raffle tickets. Please check your
child’s bag. These are due back to school on Monday 9 May.
Student Council: Are holding “Animal Day” on Wednesday 13th April. The SPCA will be visiting and giving a
presentation as part of the event. A flyer will be sent home next week with more information.
School Sausage Sizzle: Friday 8th April, $2.00 per sausage, proceeds to the school. One sausage per child.
ASB Sausage Sizzle: Thank you to Jo, Heidi and Rachel Hamilton-Williams the 4 Year 8’s – Tommy, Siobhan,
Grace and Lily who helped organise and hold the sausage sizzle on Lambton Quay yesterday. We raised just over
$260.00. Special thanks to the ASB Bank for allowing us to use their facilities.
Spanish Morning: We will be holding a celebration of the children’s Spanish learning on Friday 15th April (last day
of term). The Mexican Embassy will be giving a presentation at Hui and the children will be making Mexican Food.
Parents are welcome to join us anytime throughout the morning. We will be asking children to come dressed in
Mexican costumes.
Football Practice: Murray will be holding football practice for those students in Years 4-6 that will be taking part
in the Football Tournament on Tuesday 12th April. Please ensure your child is suitably dressed for the practices.
Piano Performance: Jonathan Crehan’s piano group will be holding a piano recital on Thursday 14 April, 6pm-7pm.
Jonathan has contacted those families who will be involved.
Harbourside Market Carpark Fundraiser: Please see information attached.
Entertainment Books Fundraiser: Thank you to those families who have already bought a book. They are still
available at the office $60.00 each.
Yummy Fruit Stickers: Please keep collecting these stickers so we can exchange them for sports equipment.
McCains Veggie Patches: The school is collecting bar codes off McCains frozen vegetables to collect points in
exchange for gardening products. For more information: www.mccainveggiepatches.com
