CITY OF LAKEPORT PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION MINUTES

Call to Order & Roll Call: The meeting of the City of Lakeport Parks and Recreation Commission was called to order at 4:17 p.m. with members Lynn Andrea, Ron Bertsch and Ann Blue present. Guest included Douglas Grider, Tina Banuet. Approval of Agenda: A motion was made by Ron Bertsch, seconded by Ann Blue, and unanimously carried to approve the agenda as presented. Communications: Lynn Andre provided the Parks and Recreation Commission with an update on retired Parks and Recreation Commission member Carol Kesey she advised that Carol is recovering in the hospital from an illness, and hopes to be coming home soon. Consent Calendar: A motion was made, seconded, and carried to approve the minutes of May 12, 2011 and special meeting of May 16, 2011. Reports: A. B. Library Park: Items of discussion included main restroom volunteer program, grass issues, docks, 4th of July events, firework show, and regular maintenance at the park. Westside Park: Items of discussion included back stops to be installed, grill in on the green event, horse shoe pits being relocated, Robert Rumfelt volunteering to mow the dog park and phase I Maintenance. Westshore Pool: Items of discussion included day camps, swim lessons, and regular pool maintenance.

New Business: The Park and Recreation Commission are requesting the City Clerk Janel Chapman to update the City website providing the current Park and Recreation Commission Members information. Upcoming elections for Park and Recreation Commission Members. Next Meeting & Adjournment: The next regular meeting will be held August 11, 2011.
