Collins Ministry Update

John and Pam Collins Ministry Update September 2011

Juggling Act
Jugglinghad always been a challenge for me, but now that I am well my transi on from Area Missionary to Regional Coordinator I will need to juggle two jobs for a while. Don Shuer is the new missionary assigned to the Binghamton Area. Don will move to the area in early October. He will then begin to meet the ministries. I am praying for one more new missionary to cover the Scranton area. I am very excited about the MidAtlan c Region (Their pictures are on the back of this le er) and have enjoyed ge ng to know them be er over the last few months. As we work through this transi on I will need your prayers for wisdom to as I jugglemany responsibili es. As I formulate a plan to do this I would ask that you please pray for Pam and I in the following areas: Pam has been gh ng Lyme disease for 8 months and her condi on has worsened. We have an appointment with a Lyme literate doctor on September 14th in New York City. Please pray for her complete recovery. In this transi on I have been ba ling the I can do it all complex. I have been told by others who have walked this path before, you cannot to it all so I will need wisdom. I never could juggleand that is what it feels like I need to do. As I plan for the upcoming ministry year please pray that God will help me sort the excellent and essen al from the good but not necessary Pray for a couple to come on sta in June to take the Area Missionary responsibili es in the Scranton Area. We need God to work. Pray for $1,385 of new support to get us to full support.

Ministry Growth Continues

We partnered with 10 new churches last year and are adding 2 more this year. I have several leadership planning mee ng and new church orienta ons planned for September. I will be ge ng some assistance during some of the training as thanks to some of our veteran leaders from Springville Bap st Church.

Leaders of Faith Baptist Cortland NY

It is exci ng to minister with new churches and help them reach out with events like a STORM (an impromptu go out and pick up your friends at home, bring them back to church for a gospel message and huge banana split event). Faith Bap st Cortland had their rst STORM event last fall with great success and we are plan ning to do it again this fall on October 19th. Our goals is to reach out to students who have never a ended, share the gospel with them, and encourage them to come back the following month. Please be in prayer for this event.

Yours For Youth,

John and Pam Collins
