Before the start of the meeting and waiting for other members to arrive, the group previewed the slideshow on the big screen Meeting convened with opening prayer led by Mai. Allen gives update about meeting with City & SDP&G regarding construction plans. Project moving forward. Lee stated that fundraising needs help to get community enthusiasm back. $194,000 raised now. o Upcoming cookie sale o Rummage sale rasied $2,790 ( Sports Court, other to OMMS) o Buckets out every week

Members asked to show up 30 minutes early before the program starts None Note: Last meeting minutes was in error and only $188,000 was raised with the help of the Multicultural Festival Need to reconvene the Fundraising Committee: Melissa, Tavale, Allen, & everyone who has ever written a check Open to all suggestions None

Casa has completed exteriors of their San Marcos facility & now doing interior work. Casa on schedule to vacate by first of the year 2012 No firm date as of yet. Religious education includes OMMS and weekend & Tuesday evening RE programs Pastoral Staff already making effort to visit all classrooms & being visible 230 children enrolled in OMMS 900 students in RE program

Need to address wide-spread problem of loosing young people after RE studies are over Support teachers & encourage physical identity o Given free group picture of all catechists o Church shirts Support Group called FRED: Friends of Religious Ed o Support teachers & help organize events o Like to get core group by beginning of 2012 o Example: Develop next step for every kid after confirmation, RCIA, etc OMMS advisory board in state of flux - Adding new members/old members leaving Miss Susan has joined the Casa Space Subcommittee St. Francis Day raised ~$1600 for OMMS materials Effort to integrate with Parish, Old Mission with OMMS representation at appropriate committees Kicking off Xmas tree & wreath fundraiser sales Xmas in July raised a total $73,000+ Sel made a video slideshow Did show & tell. Proposed & approval to show it before the Town Hall starts. Gave Allen 2 DVD (fast & slow version) of video slideshow. Lee leads discussion of how to respond after the Town Hall event: PAB & Finance Council to meet October 20th Lee also discussed the roles of each PAB members Michele announced Arturo will need to step-down as a PAB member in order to take care of his wife, who is suffering from cancer. Next PAB meeting will be Nov 3rd: Sel will chair & Sr. Yvonne will take the meeting minutes

Allen confirmed that video slideshow worked with Serra Center audio-visual system. Members asked to show up 30 minutes early before the Town Hall program starts October 20th Meeting: Lee will find a meeting place Sel will send out invitation

A search for a new BM is currently underway. Fr. Chuck will take over as BM until a new hire is found.
