Why in QLD I am living in Queensland since last two years. I am located in Toowoomba with my husband.

I am fascinated by natural beauty, warm/ tropical weather and lovely people of the Queensland. I am used to the slow paced life of rural / regional Queensland and I would like to stay in Queensland throughout my career and build up my professional skills which would be valuable for me to effectively deliver medical services to my community . This way I would be able to give back something to this community which has given me so much.

What are the career related experiences which you want to pursue in your intern years

My career objective is to work as a general practitioner after obtaining supervised structured training programme and completing FRACGP examination. During my internship programme, I would use every opportunity to work with and obtain skills from senior consultants. I would like to work in emergency centre to enhance my experience in dealing the emergency situations. I would like to do the rotations through all the departments to have a broad understanding of various medical conditions. I also like to work in medicine. I would like to expand my knowledge in medical field during each rotatory posting which will help me to become a successful and knowledgeable and a competent doctor. Are there other facilities where you would do your intern year if these critical needs could be met? If yes, pl. identify which facilities would be acceptable and why? I have listed my preferences in the application form. I am interested in Toowoomba, Ipswich, Nambour, gold coast, Brisbane (PAH, PCH, RBH, RWH and Maters), Caboolture and Logan. I would like to have rotations in medicine, surgery and emergency department as these would fulfil the criteria for obtaining general registration. Also I am in interested to do obstetrics and gynaecology and paediatric rotations as these will help to update my knowledge in the field and help me to work towards my GP career.
