Purpose:

To brew a cup of coffee without any grinds in it

Materials: Coffee Maker Coffee Filter Coffee Pot Spoon Grinds Water

Procedure: 1. Add water to the coffee maker from the coffee pot 2. Using the spoon, place the coffee grinds ON TOP of the coffee filter 3. Place the coffee filter into the coffee maker 4. Close the coffee maker 5. Press the Brew Now button 6. Caution, the coffee may be hot Calculations: 1. What was the percent yield of your coffee? 2. If you doubled the amount of water & coffee grinds you used, how much coffee would you make?

Sources of Error: In the experiment, what are some possible sources of error? (i.e. too many coffee grinds, too much water, asked Moose to make your coffee.)
