BY MARK RAINEY

A BABY is feared dead after a woman and child fell from a Stena ferry close to Belfast port yesterday evening. The woman was rescued from the water and treated by ambulance personnel for hypothermia before being taken to hospital. Several small craft joined RNLI rescue boats sweeping the area while a PSNI helicopter and one from Dublin coastguard hovered overhead. The drama began shortly after 6pm as the Cairnryan ferry approached Belfast. John McPoland of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service confirmed they had treated one female casualty. Turn to page 7
