My Evaluation

1. What is the main subject? How does the photo The main subject of this photograph is a primary school where an event takes place. 2. Why did I take this picture? What does it mean to me? I took this picture because this is Magor CIW primary school, and this is where I spent 8 years at growing up, and learning lots of different skills, and this photograph means a lot to me because it brings back good memories when I look at the photograph. 3. How does the photo focus attention on the main subject? The photo focuses on the main subject by directly shooting at it, and not taking it at an angle, and it focuses on it by having the entrance In the photograph which leads to the event. 4. What are the elements of design that make the picture work? The elements of design that make this picture work is the colours in the background, e.g. red and green flowers, which shows that its a nice and calm atmosphere. also the composition of the photo is very good and very affective, and the pathway to the school which shows that it is a welcoming place. 5. How could this photo be improved? This photo could be improved by taking the shot at a closer distance to the school so that the cars parked next to the school are not cut off, or are not in the photograph. 6. What did other people think of your photos, both good and bad? Mr Rees said that this was my best quality photograph because it was taken at a low angle shot

and therefore it makes it very affective. I have taken Mr Reess advice on board and I agree with what he said which was that taking it a low angle shot benefited the photograph. 7. How does this photo compare to a professional photographers?

My photo compares to this professional photo by both taking it from a low angle shot, and showing the entrance towards the school with the flowers next to the gate, similar to mine.
