Priority Problems of the Barangay

-

Baranggay Sto. Nio is currently experiencing problems about the lack of discipline of their constituents when it comes to garbage control. Usually people take their garbage out even when it is not the scheduled time of collection. The constituents usually stack up their garbage in street corners where animals or stray people forge on it for junk and thus leaving a huge amount of disarray of garbage in the streets which is unpleasant, unsanitary and unhealthy for the community. Also majority of the populace of the Barangay does not segregate their garbage for proper disposal. The officials are having a hard time eliminating this problem for the reason that people who do this usually is not seen and thus was not able to give or impose necessary disciplinary action for the person responsible. Another problem of the Barangay is the increasing of crime rate done by outsiders. Activities like Snatching,Theft, and

Riding in Tandem are the usual crime experienced in the barangay which is usually done in dark alleys, waiting sheds , or areas without presence of peace keepers and law enforcers

The Baranggay also has scheduled garbage pick-up to avoid stacking up of garbage in the streets. When it comes to safetiness of the barangay there are round the clock peace keepers patrolling the vicinities of the community to avoid unwanted chaos or even petty crimes. Law is also strictly enforced in the community so Law breakers are immediately put to jail. Also to effectively enforce safety the Barangay has 4 CCTV cameras operational and planning to increase its number to cover the vicinity of the whole barangay . When it comes to calamity response the barangay has built an task force called Barangay Emergency Response Team or simply called BERT. The team will be officially in action on August 5.
