Marketing and Supply Chain Internship, The Body Shop International, (July 2011-July 2012)
This role has given me a broad experience within a multinational retail business. Supply Chain Extensive database and data handling skills in Excel, SAP and BW reporting extracting, manipulating and analysing large data sets ( Stock, Currency, Sales, Issues) Project Management cross communicating with different teams, managing workloads effectively, meeting deadlines, resolving issues promptly, using initiative to solve problems and ultimately presenting high quality results. Project examples: 1.5million annual cost saving with new buying strategy, forecasting and recommending currency hedging for 2012 (100mn) Presentation effectively presenting analysis and recommendations e.g. presentation of New Buying Strategy to the Head of International Operations and the Supply Chain Teams.

Marketing Website Design and Management creation and management of all visuals and written content, personal redesign for new brand launch Design Skills in Adobe Photoshop (extensive), Indesign (moderate) and Dreamweaver (practical e.g. Email Construction) e-banners, posters, emails, printed assets. General Assistant, Skiplan, Les Deux Alpes (Dec 2008 Apr 2009) This opportunity provided the independence to develop my personal skills living abroad in a new culture. My job required me to be adaptable, operating in several different roles within the hotel. I had daily interaction with guests over a broad range of ages which helped develop my communication skills. I had to work as part of a coherent team - reliability and flexibility with my other work colleagues was necessary. Punctual time-keeping was key for the hotel to run efficiently and often required working under time-pressured conditions while upholding a quality service.

Skills and Activities


Leadership Managing Director for my schools Young Enterprise and Team Leader of Bank of England Challenge and Student Investor Teams (leading our team to the final in London). These positions required delegation of tasks and motivating others to achieve the goals set while operating as a team player. I was Deputy Head Boy for my Sixth Form, acting as a role model within my school. I.T. Extensive business experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Practical Design Skills with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and DreamWeaver SAP and BW Reporting

Sport. I keep myself fit and active. I have pushed my abilities in running, competing in several half marathons and 10k races and with ambitions for further challenges. I am keen road cyclist and recently organised a 3day trip st through North Devon. I play Mens Lacrosse for The University of Bath 1 X, which has been a new challenge and provided a good social group. I am responsible for organising and leading our lacrosse fitness sessions. My time spent in France was motivated to boost my ability in Snowboarding. Through my several sports I have developed a competitive mind and learnt to work within a team to achieve goals. Music and Art. I have a passion for music which motivated me to teach myself to play guitar from the age of 14 which has been an outlet for expression. From studying art I have also developed a creative side broadening my skill base acquiring skills in painting and photography. I have taken several life drawing classes to develop my drawing skills. The latest exhibition I attended was the Damien Hirst at the Tate Modern.
