A WORD FROM THE HEAD Welcome back to our Year 5 and 6 children who have had a fantastic time at Glaramara. I hope you have all had a chance to look at the photographs of the brilliant time they had on the School Blog. Well done to those Y5/6 children who took part in their Enterprise Day today and to those parents who supported the event and well done to our Reception Class who had a fantastic time in China Town on Monday and behaved so well. I hope you all enjoy next weeks holiday and will see you all back in school at 8:55 am on Monday 25th February. Jayne Kennedy

SPOTLIGHT Glaramara Look out for a report on the Glaramara Residential Trip in next weeks newsletter but in the meantime log into www.barlowhallblogs.net to checkout some of the fun activities the children took part in. Barlow Hall Primary School - winners of the My Kind of Place Competition Children from KS2 PPA Group 2 recently entered and won the Unity Arts My Kind of Place Competition. The finished display will be unveiled in Beech Road Park on Wednesday 1st March at 4pm. Refreshments will be available and all those who took part are invited to go along to the unveiling. A big Well done to all those who took part. **** E-Safety Thank you to those parents who came along to Mr Vaughans class room on Tuesday evening to support our E-Safety meeting. The session was well organised and informative and parents had the chance to ask any questions that they had regarding their childs safety on the internet. Thank you to Alistair from MGL and to Mr Vaughan for their help in producing and delivering the session. ***** World Book Day This years World Book Day will take place in school on Friday 1st march, and children are invited to come into school dressed as their favourite book character for the day. Children will also be presented with a 1 book voucher on the day which can be put towards the purchase of a childrens book in selected outlets, details of which will be on the back of the voucher. ***** Red Nose Day Red noses in aid of Comic Relief are on sale in the office now priced at 1. Dont forget Red Day on 15th March.
