Students Activity

Good morning/good afternoon class. I Good Morning Maam will be your teacher today, so as any (Students listen politely) other new teacher starts her lesson allow me first to introduce myself to you. Im Ms. Marjo G. Celoso, 21 years old and a resident of Brgy. Bula Mambusao, Capiz. *Presentation a. Energizer Basic Yoga b. Review The teacher projects the figure below on the board and ask the students to identify the following: Parallel lines Transversal Corresponding Angles Alternate Interior Angles Alternate Exterior Angles Same Side Interior Angles Same Side Exterior Angles

(Students follow the instructions of the teacher)

(Students will identify the Parallel lines, Transversal, Corresponding Angles, Alternate Interior Angles, Alternate Exterior Angles, Same Side Interior Angles and Same Side Exterior Angles)

. c. Exploration Today we are going to discover the relationship between pairs of angles formed by parallel lines cut by a transversal. First, we are going to find out what is the relationship of the angles between corresponding angles. Let us do that by measuring and comparing the measure of each pair of corresponding angles. Are you ready? Yes Maam Let us consider this figure 1

1. Request students to identify all the corresponding angles found in the figure.
2. With a protractor, ask some

(Students will identify the corresponding angles found in the figure) (Students will measure on board the identified corresponding angles using protractor)

students to measure the corresponding angles 1 and 5, 2 and 6, 3 and 7, 4 and 8 on the board. 3. List all the measurements in board. Then, ask this question: What can you observe in the measures of each pair of corresponding angles?

The measures of each pair of corresponding angles are approximately the same.
