UPDATED AWARDEES LIST!! Come Join Us!!! Awards and Family Night April 9, 2013, 6pm at the Westwood High School Auditorium.

Dear Parents, We would like to invite you to come and celebrate with us. Come watch the Cadets as they stand proudly and received their much deserved NATIONAL awards. As were sure you are aware, our Cadets have been very involved in many activities this year. We have participated in Posting the Colors at every game for our Football Team, the school and throughout the community at many special events. We cleaned up the Beach at Pepper Park, sponsored several Car Washes and competed in 2 Raiders Competitions (Port St. Lucie HS and South Fork HS). In the fall we traveled to Palm Beach Atlantic University for a Leadership Conference, competed in several Drill and Ceremony competitions and hosted a promotion board. We also assisted in the Comcast Cares school cleanup day, adopted a family in need during the holidays, hosted a Blood Drive, and continued the recycling program at our school. As a Battalion, we marched in the MLK parade, participated in the JROTC Academic and Leadership Bowls advancing to level 2, and hosted several Golden Corral Night fund raisers. Every day we raised and lowered the flags at our main campus and the MOA campus. Before the year comes to a close we have several exciting events planned including, hosting our Annual Military Ball, Posting the Colors for a Miami Heat Game, Our Seniors Graduation day, and of course sending Cadets to Leadership Summer Camp. As you can see our Cadets have been extremely busy this year and it is going to get even busier next year as we start off preparing for our formal inspection while continuing to grow and support the community! We are hoping you can take time from your busy schedule and help us acknowledge our Cadets for their exceptional dedication to the program, their community and the school when local veterans organizations present their National Awards to our Cadets. *The following Cadets will be receiving during this ceremony:

*This ceremony is designed to enable our local veterans organizations to provide their awards to our Cadets. Cadets not receiving awards from these organizations will receive their individual JROTC awards at a ceremony during their regular JROTC class period. Directly following the ceremony we will host a meet and greet social for the parents. We will be serving light refreshments and pastries baked by our Culinary Arts classes.
