~ MESSAGE FROM MRS. KENNAUGH ~

If you have visited our building this week, Im certain that you noticed that our door buzzer system is operational and being utilized. That means that our front door will be locked shortly after the start of the school day and will remain locked until just before the end of the day. If you want access to the building, please press the buzzer and a staff member will allow you in. There are signs posted to assist you with finding the button to push. If you are at the door or are leaving the building when another person is arriving, we ask that you refrain from letting the other visitor into the building. Thank you! We recently completed our third round of DIBELS testing and are looking forward to seeing the results! Stay tuned! Additionally, students are participating in the second round of the online NWEA (Northwest Evaluation Association) assessment. Each elementary student across the district is being tested in math and reading; Beagle students will each have two separate testing sessions over the next several weeks. The Relay for Life Walk for a Cure relay is being held at Beagle next week from Friday at 5 p.m. through Saturday at 5 p.m. The relay teams will be setting up prior to the 5:00 start, which means that the loop in the parking lot where pick-up and drop-off normally occur will be closed. If you are picking your child up from school that day (Friday, May 17), please plan on arriving via the high school parking lot. Park near the softball field and track and walk in to pick up your child. We recognize that this is an inconvenience to families, but the Relay is a worthy cause that involves our entire community. Thank you in advance for understanding. As always, if you have any questions or would like to discuss any concerns, please contact me.

ATTENTION PARENTS!! Help Us Clean Out Our Lost & Found

SANDAL CONCERN
Beagle does not encourage wearing sandals or flip-flops because of the potential risk for injuries. Another common problem is when the straps break, the students usually dont have a spare pair of shoes to wear to get them through the rest of the school day. Therefore its suggested that students keep a spare pair of shoes at school to avoid phone calls home to parents and/or lost class time.

TH

GRADE PARENTS

If your child is going to be in 6th grade next year now is the perfect time to set up their appointment to get their immunizations. Usually our 6th grade students are due to get their next DTAP/TDAP (tetanus, diphtheria & pertussis) and the new Meningococcal vaccine. These immunizations are required by the State of Michigan for school age children. Thank you!
