Jing, a free tool from TechSmith, records up to 5-minute videos of screen content and narration for publication. This easy to use and effective tool can support district/school level data quality efforts by providing a visual means of relaying timely data entry instruction. Video reminders of data validation, error correction guidelines, reinforcement of student data entry processes, and elaboration on responsibilities can be created within a matter of minutes. End users will enjoy viewing video processes as a supplement to written tech notes. This description will be used in the conference program book and will assist participants in their selection of sessions. School and district employees spend a great deal of time validating PowerSchool student and course level data against the SCDE requirements.

Processes related to student attendance, grading, scheduling etc. demand the continued reiteration of data entry standards and instruction.
