From The Prez

No meeting this month because it is Picnic in the Park month. Everyone bring some food and appetites. We have all been receiving e-mails from Rich, updating us on next years Brukner Show. There is a lot of work that goes into planning and coordinating the show. I still plan to remain on the committee for floor layout and add sales. Hopefully some of the experienced committee members will remain and other club members will volunteer to help. Lets all pitch in and help Rich in his first year as Show Chairman.

Dues
Another reminder that 2013 dues are due this month. They are only $10 ($15 for family) and $15 for new members. John will be updating the membership list soon and I will be using that list for my mailing list for the club newsletter. Ill keep reminding everyone through the Sept newsletter and then update the mailing list so make sure that you get your dues in to John, Jim Foster or me. August Program This month is Club picnic time in the park. Carvers and spouses, join us for a great evening of good food and better fellowship. Bring your own table service, something to drink and a dish (or 2 if you like) to share. WHERE: TROY CITY PARK (Across from Hobart Arena) Shelter House #1 (Big brick one by tennis courts) WHEN: AUGUST 14 at 6:30 PM WHY: BECAUSE WOOD CARVERS JUST LOVE TO EAT!

Any suggestions or contributions will be much appreciated. Thanks to Mark and Mia for getting it up. Club Competition Remember that we have gone to a quarterly (every three months) club competition. September will be the next one so everyone keep at it and bring something. And dont forget, Show and Tell still goes on every month and bringing something to share gets you a ticket for the prize drawing.
