Dynamic Model Assumptions
Assume the Projectile is Stable and Flies at Very Small Aerodynamic Angle of Attack Model the Projectile as a Very Small Mass, Much Smaller than the Relative Size of the Motion of Interest Mass is Concentrated at a Point Projectile Inertia is Zero Point Mass Moves in a Plane Ground is an Inertial Reference Frame Forces Acting on the Projectile Weight Aerodynamic Drag Acts in the Opposite Direction of the Velocity Vector

Simple Model Trajectory Computation is Very Fast Reasonably Accurate for Known Stable Projectiles That Obey Assumptions Projectile Flies at Very Small Aerodynamic Angle of Attack Projectile is Launch at Low Quadrant Elevation Forces Acting on the Projectile Weight Aerodynamic Drag Not a Viable Model When Orientation Dynamics Significantly Alter Trajectory
