1- In a chart, describe the advantages and disadvantages of using technology in your professional development taking into account Blended Learning, Education 2.0, Web 2.0 and IT.

Type of technology for educational purpose Blended Learning

Advantages - Useful skills using technology: the students can acquire knowledge using the different tool the technology offers. - Different people learn in a different ways: Nowadays we can see many web sites and applications the technology offers and the student have the possibility to learn with the technology. Face to face interaction: the people can interact though the different ways as the chat and also through the video calls. Distance education: The students have the opportunity to learn through the tools the internet offers without having to be present in a classroom.

Disadvantages The materials developed by the teachers cannot simply be the same set that they had developed for handouts: They have to be reformatted so that they guide the students through a process of independent study when the teacher and the student are not in a faceto-face session.

Trough the web 2.0 the students have the facility to learn in a easy way because with the web 2.0 the people can acquire an avatar that can move fluently in and out of Custom-designed environments for interaction and display.

- Tools help to improve the student learning: The students can learn trough the instructional technology because it offers a variety of tool as the cameras, CD Players, PDA's, GPS devices etc. - Good teaching: With the IT the teachers can teach in an easy way, because the teacher can use computer software and Internet resources to locate, process, and present information to the students. - Students create professional-looking products: because they report about the information they have learned using word processing and presentation software. And also the students use computers as electronic tutors to improve learning skills

Lack of economy resources: The technological tool are very important because help in the learning process, but some people do not have sufficient economy to acquire the technological tools.

2. Explain how you are going to design a lesson plan online by using Web Quest and what are the real propose using this kind of technology in your professional development.

A web quest is a constructivist learning activity that uses resources from the web and presents authentic task in context, encouraging students participation in an autonomous and collaborative way. (Torres, 2005) The Web quest is a professional web site for teachers because the teacher can include topics about something will teach. And in my web quest I am going to design an important topic where the student have to do everything that I am going to leave them; and the first step will be to describe my web quest like the introduction that the topic needs, and also I am going to choose the level of the students because it is important; and the information must be based on the level of the student , and I need to upload the information about the topic I can upload pdf documents because in that site I can find the information that I want to show to the students, another thing will be to upload videos about the topic and also the web quest allow me to upload pictures about the topic. It is important to leave the tasks and we have to know the tasks and the procedures must agree not to confuse to the student. I am going to do my plan online with the purpose that my student learn to use the web quest and they can to develop skills and knowledge about the importance to use the different tools the technology offers.

3. Explain how you are going to deal if you want to use technology in a school or place of work but there is not Tech in the classroom. What are you going to do? How are you going to solve the problem? Provide resources that you will use and the procedures. In this case I will design a plan where I will apply the technology, and also the students will learn a little of technology. The plan will be to provide paper to the students and the paper will take information about the technology and the different tools that the technology contain as the applications, web sites and also the social network. And then I will explain how the student can apply the technology in the learning process, another thing will be to take an audio device with a USB memory it will consist in to teach a lesson to the students with the audio the students will listen and interpret the lesson that I am going to leave them.

4. Choose digital resources you will include and describe how those digital resources you are going to improve you PLE and PLN. The term personal learning environment (PLE) describes the tools, communities, and services that constitute the individual educational platforms learners use to direct their own learning and pursue educational goals. (EDUCAUSE, 2009) A PLN is a Personal Learning Network. A PLN is a reciprocal network that you create to learn from, connect with, gather information or resources create with a nd finally share what you have learned. A PLN can occur in your school, face- to face, online, at conferences or through reading, reflecting and sharing. (Regent Universitys Center for Teaching & Learning ) Some resources I include will be the social networks like Facebook, twitter, hotmail that help me to improve my PLE and my PLN because with the social network I have a communication and interaction with other people, because I can interact with my family and friends, but also I can interact with professional people and this people help me with my learning process in this case in the language English; because I learn more vocabulary and trough the social network I can follow pages and professional people. Other resources I include are web sites like, blogger, rubistar, web quest, those web sites help me because I acquire more knowledge when I read other blogs and also in my own web sites because I interact with my classmate trough the comments they leave me. With social network and with web sites I improve my PLE and my PLN. There are other resources as linked- in and others: Linked-in is a professional account where we can find a work, and I think if we use this account our PLE and PLN will grow up.
