Holiday Social: Our NHS holiday social is this Saturday (12/14) at Michaels house! The address is 5748 Palomino Way. Well be there from 4-6:30 pm, then were going to Prairie Lights! Main Street. Sign up on stage at the meeting. Over winter break well be helping sort and box food at the NTFB. There will be sign ups at the meeting. Boys and Girls Club Zavala Elementary: Winter Wonderland Salvation Army Angels

No need to sign up - just be sure to sign in there! Zavalas Winter Wonderland is this Friday from 6:30-9:30 pm. Theyll be doing crafts, pictures with Santa, and other activities. If youd like to help out, sign up at the meeting or with Alyssa. In our small groups, were pitching in to get gifts for Salvation Army Angels. Make sure you meet with your small group officer after the meeting for details. The band needs help directing parents as they enter for the band concerts. Shifts from 5:30-7:30 and 7-9. Volunteer and Point Opportunities: Attendance Office (Weekly) We could use 2 volunteers in the attendance office from 7-7:25 every morning, weekly. Attend everyday for a week to earn a point. Contact Cecilia to sign up for a week. Boys and Girls Club (Tuesdays and Thursdays) The Boys and Girls Club is open from 4-6pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Its located at 1000 Enterprise Dr.Grand Prairie, TX, 75051. Be sure to sign in there. Santa Cop (12/11; 12/12; 12/16) Well be helping out with Santa Cop toy sorting on 12/11, 12/12 and 12/16 from 6-9pm. The warehouse is at 2000 E. Main Street, Grand Prairie. The building is a National Autobody Parts Warehouse. Sign up at the meeting or with Chance. Zavala Elementary: Winter Wonderland - Zavalas Winter Wonderland is this Friday from 6:309:30pm. Theyll be doing crafts, pictures with Santa, and other activities. If youd like to help out, sign up at the meeting or with Alyssa.

2nd Nine Weeks: 9 Points Required End of 2nd Nine Weeks: January 17

Band Concert (Tues., 12/17) The band is having a Christmas concert on Tuesday, 12/17. Theyll need help directing parents to different areas in the building (being a host/usher). There will be two shifts: 5:30-7:30 and 7-9. Sign up at the meeting. Prairie Lights (12/20 and 12/30) NHS will be volunteering at Prairie Lights this holiday season. Our dates are Friday, 12/20, and Monday, 12/30. Well be volunteering long shifts on both days, so if you volunteer, youll earn 2 points. North Texas Food Bank (12/21; 1/4) Well be volunteering at the North Texas Food Bank on 12/21 and 1/4 from 9-11:30. Both days are Saturdays over winter break. Well be working with a bunch of other volunteers to sort and box various food items for distribution across the metroplex. We need at least 10 volunteers! Sign up at the meeting or contact Nick. Salvation Army Angel Gifts In our small groups were pitching in to get a Salvation Army Angel a Christmas gift. Make sure you talk to your small group officer to get the details if youre interested.
