UNIFORM POLICY
REVIEWED 2007 DUE FOR REVIEW 2011
RATIONALE:
Our uniform is a sign of our community. It has been chosen by the community and all students are expected to support it.
Additional Items: Star of the Sea school bag optional Rugby shirt (Year 7 only) - preferred but optional Rain jackets
Accessories:
Winter items such as gloves, scarves, rainjackets etcshould be in blue.
Hair:
For health reasons, children with hair that is collar length or longer are required to have hair tied back off the face. Hair ribbons, head bands, elastics and hair clips must be in school colours (blue or yellow) Students are not permitted to have outlandish hair styles by extreme cutting or colouring. Families need to check hair at least weekly for nit infestations. All eggs must be removed after nit treatment as they will eventually hatch and reinfest hair.
Jewellery:
For safety reasons and protection of property, children are not permitted to wear jewellery to school. At the owners risk, the following exceptions are made; 1 pair of sleepers of studs (girls only) 1 religious medal or crucifix worn under clothing a watch
Dear Parents, It is school policy that students are correctly attired in correct school uniform at all times. On a number of occasions recently, your child has not been wearing the correct school uniform. We ask that you ensure your child is properly dressed in their school uniform as outlined in our Uniform Policy (copy attached).
