We were in BLOCK 419 with parents and friends; the choir was at Level 1 the same as last year. With the help of binoculars and zoom lenses we were ideally placed to appreciate the fun and excitement of the concert. Stacey Solomon (from X Factor), Keith Semple and Wayne Ellington sang with the children and there was street dancing from Urban Strides. What an amazing experience for the children from Year 3 to Year 6 singing with over 7,000 other voices at such a magnificent Venue! Miss Walsh tells me that the children were a delight to be withcongratulations. I am sure they would all like to thank Miss Walsh for her wonderful enthusiasm and support for their performanceboth singing and dancingnot forgetting help from Mrs. Iaquaniello, Mme. Baldacci and Mrs. Egan. The next big concert for the choir takes place at the beginning of July in support of Barnardosat THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL. Ask the young person in your family to see Miss Walsh in the meantime if you would like them to swell the ranks They would only need to spend a moment with any member of the choir yesterday morning to be convinced! The other event of the week was the ISA London South Cross Country at Frewen College on Monday. (Our thanks to Leons and Evas father for both transport and support). You can see from the photographs the extent of the field and the terrain over which the races were run. (Eva sustained a leg injury and unfortunately was unable to complete the girls race). Leon was 25th, Cody 46th, Ian 56th and Will 69th. You all represented the school really well and tried your very bestwell done!

Continuing our weekly theme of activity clubs, on a Thursday after school there is the Advanced French Club. Heres a photograph.

Mrs. Prescott would have been with us at the 02 had she not been ill. We hope to see her back with us on Monday. I am grateful to her for guiding Mrs. Lonergan through the work for Years 5 and 6and to Mrs. Lonergan for the excellent way she has undertaken the task (not forgetting the ever present and most valuable Mrs. Lippard). We are so well blessed with assistance if anyone is absent, never needing to move towards supply teachers. (Mrs. Lonergan, by the way, has just been awarded her PGCEcongratulations).

Next Wednesday it is Year 6 Assembly at 9.00am. Parents are most welcome. .. And theres a reminder about Homework Teasplease collect ideally by 5.45pm and certainly no later than 6.00pm.
