You will nd the details of the collections for each year group on the reverse of this newsletter. Thank you for your continuing support and for making this annual event so successful.
What a tremendous week it has been. Who remembers the holiday? The reason I say this, is because we have well and truly started as we mean to go on; airport trips, visitors, festivals in the wind, rain, blistering sun and Bikeability are just a number of activities that have happened in such a short space of time this week. Coupled with new clubs such as Lego and Scratch, the school is well and truly alive again and ready for the next 6 weeks. I am sure we will do it all again next week!
Sponsored Walk Next Thursday, weather permitting, sees the return of our annual sponsored walk. To mark the start of the World Cup and the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, the theme is COUNTRIES. I cannot wait to see how you interpret the theme. The route will be the same as always. The event raises money to support the activities that the children do in school as well as supporting Vinicious our long standing sponsored child in Brazil. As an added incentive, I will be giving a prize to the child in each class that raises the most money. Good luck everyone and rest those legs.
Transition Over the coming weeks we will be doing a lot of work on preparing all the children to move to their next class. This week sees two Transition Days at Lyndon Humanities. If you are attending, please go direct to the school on the morning. Our whole school Transition Day, takes place on Wednesday 2nd July, where the children and yourselves will nd out their new teachers.
Swimming Next Wednesday is the rst swim for classes 4D and 6S.
Good Luck Next Friday is the Birmingham nals of the Tag 2 Twickers competition. We hope that all the children have fun and do their very best. We wait with baited breath!
Congratulations To all the boys that took part in the Mike Scott Trophy. It is the rst time that we have won it. Another one to add to the trophy cabinet. Bulging at the seams!!
Have a superb weekend Mr. R.
