2. Financials and Funding Opportunities Julie

• IMI Cornelius have donated £250 (match funding)
– many thanks to Lisa Bunting for arranging this.
• Funding to School – Julie to follow up with Jenny on Julie/Jenny
cheques for the commitments the PTA have made.
• School is considering the new numeracy scheme
further so no conclusions yet.
• Kate/Cheryl to confirm further specific funding Kate/Cheryl
requirements, e.g. IT asset/upgrading programme

3. 100+ Club Sian

• Account balance is £891. Cheque for £1000 has
been paid into the PTA bank account
• Agreed to draw 100 club for February at the Quiz Julie
Night

4. Update on Quiz Night Arrangements

• Current numbers just under 50 – this is similar to
last year.
• Julie to set up from 6pm – others to help where Julie/All
possible.
• Format same as last year. Raffle to be held also.
• Rachel to organize trophy for champions and Rachel
‘wooden spoon’ prize
• Julie to organize salt, vinegar, chocolates, wine, Julie
serviettes
5. Events This Year and Diary
• Bag2School – agreed to hold next collection about
a week after the village Nearly New Sale – details Julie
to be confirmed
• Fones4School – agreed to arrange in association Julie
with the Spring Fair and have a box for phones
 collection at the Fair
• Spring Fair/Fun Run 17th May – Lisa and Victoria Lisa/Victoria
doing Fun Run; Rachel/Julie/Sue to discuss Spring Rachel/Julie/
Fair arrangements. Sue
• Summer Ball is 12th July – Julie to talk to Phil/Neil Julie
about arrangements.
• Cauliflower Cards – Julie has registered for
School. Packs are sent out in June to School and
drawings have to be returned in October.
Suggested that children do the drawings during
first few weeks of autumn term. Packs are
available for sale from December – minimum order
of 1 pack (12 cards). Sue to include in newsletter. Sue
• Invitation books will be delivered on 18th March.
Arrangements need to be made to get these
logged on the 18th, for distribution on Wednesday
19th (last day of term), for use over the Easter
holiday. Anyone who can help to come to School on All
18th (3.15 onwards) to prepare the books. School to Kate
provide class lists
• Yellow Moon books now available – School to Kate
distribute Friday 29th February.
• Summer School Disco – Julie to check with Phil the Julie/Phil
provisional date of Tuesday 8th July
6. Any Other Business
• NCPTA training event is being held at Balsall See Julie for
Common on Wednesday 12th March from 6.45 to details
9pm – it would be useful if a few people can attend
to find out about funding opportunities
• School have decided to keep Sports Day on 2nd
July.
• School open day morning will be held on Friday 29th
June.
