PGS 29:2008 (2.2.1, toepassingsgebied):
verticale cilindrische bovengrondse tank, waarvan de bodem op een
fundering rust en waarin opslag plaatsvindt onder atmosferische druk
van brandbare vloeistoffen van de klassen 1, 2 en 3 en voor stoffen
van klasse 4 die verwarmd worden opgeslagen.
EN 14015:2004 (1.1, scope):
site built, vertical, cylindrical, flat bottomed, above ground, welded, steel
tanks for the storage of liquids at ambient temperatures and above
Deze tanks vallen onder het Bouwbesluit:
Het zijn bouwwerken: bouwwerk-geen-gebouw-zijnde.

Bouwbesluit / Eurocodes
Bouwbesluit: moet op een goede manier worden omgegaan met de
constructieve veiligheid.
Hiervoor zijn de zogenoemde Eurocodes aangewezen. Deze geven
handvatten voor constructieve veiligheid.
Meest relevante Eurocode voor tanks is:
EN1993-4-2:2007, Eurocode 3: Design of steel structures - Part 4- 2:
Tanks

PGS 29:2008 (artikel 68)
Nieuw te bouwen tanks moeten voldoen aan de Europese norm NEN
EN 14015-1 [Ref. 70]. Voor afwijking van bovenstaande norm is
goedkeuring vereist van een door het bevoegd gezag geaccepteerde
instantie.
PGS 29 (toekomst / voorstel)
"Nieuw te bouwen tanks moeten voldoen aan het bouwbesluit, die
verwijst naar de Eurocodes. Voor stalen tanks is dat de EN1993-42:2007 (Eurocode 3). Hierin wordt de EN14015:2004 genoemd als
code waaraan tanks minimaal moeten voldoen. Voor afwijkingen
binnen bovenstaande norm is goedkeuring vereist van een AKI
keuringsinstantie.

EN 14015:2004 (foreword)
There is a parallel pre-standard, ENV 1993-4-2 Tanks. It is based on the Limit State
Theory (LST),which is being used more and more by the structure steel and reinforced
concrete industry. Experience in designing steel storage tanks to LST is limited, and
there is little information on which to base the values for load factors, load
combinations and serviceability. When sufficient experience has been gained in
designing tanks to, and credible values become available for load factors, etc., it is
envisaged that there may be a gradual move towards the use of LST for the design of
tanks covered by this European Standard.

EN 1993-4-2:2007 (scope)
This Part 4.2 is concerned only with the requirements for resistance and stability of
steel tanks. Other design requirements are covered by EN 14015 for ambient
temperature tanks.

Beide normen worden herzien.

EN 14015 valt onder CEN/TC 265 (Metallic tanks for the storage of
liquids), WG 9 (Site built tanks for liquids at ambient temperatures).

CEN/BT heeft onlangs het volgende besloten (BT C36/2014).
to

confirm to CEN/TC 250 the overall responsibility for structural and

geotechnical design rules for building and civil engineering;

that

CEN/TCs (products, execution) should refer in their standards (when

possible) to the relevant Eurocodes parts, when reference to structural and
geotechnical design rules are needed;

that

rules relating to structural and geotechnical design should only be

included in standards under other CEN/TCs responsibility following
agreement with CEN/TC 250;

that,

in cases where rules relating to structural and geotechnical design have

been included in standards by other CEN/TCs, a mode of cooperation should
be established with CEN/TC 250 to transpose design rules to the relevant
Eurocode part where agreed or, as a minimum, eliminate any incompatibilities
or ambiguities.
