OWNERS GUIDE
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) recommends that employees be instructed in personal safety and
the operation of the system. Ansul provides this owner's
guide to the authorized Ansul distributor who in turn, shall
provide the owner with this information.
This owners guide is not intended to cover all the requirements which are stated in the detailed Installation,
Operation, Recharge, Inspection, and Maintenance Manual,
Part No. 417743. This guide is solely for the use of the enduser to become more knowledgeable with the fire suppression system and the steps necessary in the event of a fire.
Should the end-user want to find out more information concerning the Ansul IND-X Fire Suppression System, the
authorized Ansul distributor can furnish a detailed
Installation, Operation, Recharge, Inspection, and Maintenance Manual.
Fires are common in industry....A sobering statement to
be sure, but one which is supported by fire statistics. Each
year, industrial fires claim lives, destroy property and cost
companies millions of dollars for increased insurance premiums, machinery replacement and the rebuilding of plant
facilitiesnot to mention lost productivity.
The tragedy is that the majority of these devastating fires
could have been prevented or reduced in severity through
an effective program of fire protection.
The success of such a program depends upon having the
right fire suppression equipment (like the Ansul IND-X
Industrial Fire Suppression System) in the right places.
Plus, employees who understand their role in protecting the
facilities from fire.
