The population of the mosquitoes that transmit Malaria or Dengue fever is increasing
everyday. To reduce large number of these insects, mosquito paper are used. However , mosquito
paper have harmful effects on humans and are expensive. The study aimed to make a mosquito
paper out of Pepper Mint (M. balsamea Willd), Basil (Ocimumbasilicum) and Lemongrass

alkaline solution. Then the products was blender to separate the individual filaments. Then put it
in a flat container. Leave it under the sun and wait until it is dry. Thirty respondents were
randomly chosen to rate the product in terms of odor, while the researcher conducted 10 trials
each to determine the number of mosquito killed and time it took befor the mosquito were killed
by the 3 set-ups and commercial product. Set-ups 1, 2, 3, and the commercial product eliminated
31, 43, 32 and 36 mosquitoes respectively. Using One factor ANOVA, the p-values computed are
less than 0.05, thus confirming that the leaves can be a component of mosquito paper
