7 Curriculum Adaptations

1. Quantity:
Have the students daily appetizer half filled out, so that
they are just completing the place setting.
2. Time:
Allow more time for reading the material, or give them the
reading material ahead of time.
3. Level of Support:
Put student in a group that will encourage participation and
guide the student to be successful. Encourage positive
interaction within the classroom!
4. Input:
By providing a classroom environment that is taught with
many different learning structures I am positive that each
student will have the opportunity to learn in their own
individual way.
5. Output:
Allow students to use real tableware to make the place
setting and verbally explain what each item is- instead of
drawing and labeling it.
6. Participation:
In the group activity have them be the narrator or a part that
does not have much dialogue which ever they prefer!
7. Alternate Goals:
Have the student label an already filled out daily appetizer
of a place setting.
