I, Vaseefat ul Zehra, am writing to apply for admission to the Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)
degree for the fall semester 2016 in Shiraz University of Medical Sciences. I have completed
my Higher Secondary Degree (12th Class) with 90.4% and have an excellent academic record
throughout.
My desire to study medicine comes from my talent and potential which I have demonstrated in
my academics and daily life experiences. I choose this field, because I find my talent to be a
natural ally of medical sciences from which I would get opportunity to study the wonders of
human body and its functioning. My attachment with this field is not only to become a good
doctor, but it is also to go further in medical research and contribute in the knowledge
production of this field. I find myself to be an applicant to your university who not only will
live up to the high standards of your degree curriculum but will also participate to push the
boundaries of the standard further.
My objective as a doctor and as a researcher would be to inspire new talents in this field. I take
inspiration from many people who took challenge of this field and in turn challenged it by their
sheer will and determination. As a female coming from a region which continues to be engulfed
in violence, my admission in your university would be a great contribution towards the struggle
for a dignified life and better opportunities.
I am very excited about the opportunity of joining Shiraz University of Medical Sciences. I
