My desire to become a doctor has been present since middle school, and it grew more powerful as my
cognitive abilities matured and allowed me to comprehend the medical profession more thoroughly.
The value of medicine and the role of doctors in saving humanity and taking care of their health
increased my desire to become a doctor. Through this letter, I want to convey my strong desire to apply
for admission to the Medicine undergraduate program at your esteemed university.

I learned a lot about the amazing and wonderful nature of the human body through biology in high
school, which led me to apply for this major. The development of my skills was aided by every subject I
studied, whether it was scientific or literary, which made me able and ready to study medicine. Through
studying mathematics, I was able to develop my analytical skills and think quickly and accurately.

My love and desire to specialize in medicine increased when I witnessed the groans and suffering of
patients in my country, which has been exhausted by wars and conflicts for three decades, and which is
in urgent need of qualified medical cadres who are capable of transferring advanced expertise from your
esteemed university. Upon experiencing that, I realized that medicine was my true passion and I am
confident in my ability to pursue it.

The reason why I am interested in receiving this scholarship and finishing my undergraduate studies at
your prestigious university in Turkey is because I am able to adapt to new and multicultural
environments, because I have acquired the required skills and abilities from the countries I lived in and
studied, including Somalia, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia. There is also the language factor, I consider
myself a fast learner of languages, as I speak besides Somali, which is my mother tongue, English and
Arabic fluently.

I made the decision to study medicine because it was truly what I wanted to do. Furthermore, I want to
make a lasting impression because I am obligated to help and support my people and my nation despite
the obstacles, and I continue to do so. I have faith that Turkish universities, specifically your esteemed
university, will support me in accomplishing this objective.
