Teacher attracts students attention by holding a cake and fruits in front of the
class. Then, teacher puts the fruits on top of the cake and asks the students
what is that. After the teacher put the fruits on top of the cake, teacher asks
the student to guest what they will learn today.
(Step 1: 15 minutes)
Teacher activates students schemata by asking one of the students to read
synopsis that provided to them. Teacher explains to the students the plots that
contain in the story, which are:
Exposition, rising action, climax, falling action and resolution.
Then, the teacher asks the students about the situation of each plot in the
story (ELO1). Teacher gives comment to the students answer.

(Step 2 : 25 minutes)
Teacher develops students skill by asking the students to make 5 groups for
a role play activity. Teacher asks each representative from each group to
come in front and choose a cue card that contains a plot of the short story.
Teacher gives 15 minutes for each group to preparing their play.
(Step 3: 20 minutes)
Teacher encourages students participation by asking each group to present
their play in front of the classroom (ELO2). Then, teacher gives comment to
the presentation. The best presentation will get a reward by the teacher.
