THE AIESEC ACRONYM GUIDE - AIESEC IN MONASH

@: shorthand for AIESEC


AI: AIESEC International (AIESEC Headquarters based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands)
AIESEC: Association Internationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales
(This is what AIESEC used to stand for, but given that our members come from many different
backgrounds, we now just use AIESEC, plain and simple)
BXP: Brand Experience (The marketing team or portfolio responsible for AIESECs overall brand
through market research and events)
DXP: Digital Experience (The marketing team or portfolio responsible for digital marketing)
ER: External Relations
EB: Executive Board of the Local Committee (LCP + LCVPs)
EBM: Executive Board Meeting
EP: Exchange Participant (Young people that go abroad through AIESEC)
EST: Entity Support Team (The team of AIESEC superstars that supports MCs operations)
EXPA: Doesnt stand for anything (I think) but its the online experience portal where TNs can
post opportunities and EPs can browse and apply for them
FACI: Facilitator (Usually an AIESEC member who delivers or helps to deliver sessions at
conferences)
FnG: Finance and Governance portfolio
FM: Functional Meeting (A meeting with members of your portfolio)
GC: Global Citizen
GE: Global Entrepreneurs
GT: Global Talent
GST: Global Support Team (The team of AIESEC superstars that supports AIs operations)

IC: International Congress (An annual conference that brings together the leaders of AIESEC,
AI, MC + LCPs from across all the entities in the organization)
ICX: Incoming Exchange (The portfolio responsible for raising internships and opportunities for
internationals to come in - consists of iGIP and iGCDP)
iGIP: Incoming Global Internship Program (The portfolio responsible for raising internships for
internationals to come in)
iGCDP: Incoming Global Community Development Program (The portfolio responsible for
raising volunteering opportunities for internationals to come in)
IM: Individual Meeting (one-on-one meeting)
IXP: Integrated Experience (when AIESEC members go on exchange)
KPI: Key Performance Indicator (metrics that define short term tasks that are crucial to the
success of a project - e.g. no. of lecture bashes)
LB: Lecture Bash
LC: Local Committee (e.g. AIESEC in Monash)
LCM: Local Committee Meeting
LCVP (or just VP): Local Committee Vice President (The responsible of local operations in a
specific functional area or portfolio)
LCP: Local Committee President
MC: Member Committee, country or territory member of AIESEC. By extension, people working
at a national level in AIESEC
MCVP: Member Committee Vice President (The national leader of a specific functional area or
portfolio)
MCP: Member Committee President (The head of an AIESEC entity in a particular country)
MaC: Marketing & Communications
MoS: Measure of Success (metrics that define the end goal of a project, e.g. no. of people sent on
exchange)

NatCon: National Conference


NPS: Net Promoter Score (An index calculating customers satisfaction with our product)
OC: Organizing Committee (Project-based team formed to deliver a particular
event/conference etc.)
OCP: Organizing Committee President
OCVP: Organizing Committee Vice President
oGCDP: Outgoing Community Development Program (AIESEC program where EPs volunteer
abroad. Externally known as Global Citizen). By extension, also refers to the portfolio that
prepares GC EPs for going abroad.
oGIP: Outgoing Internship Program (AIESEC program where EPs intern abroad. Externally
known as Global Talent). By extension, also refers to the portfolio that prepares GT EPs for
going abroad.
OGX: Outgoing Exchange (The portfolio responsible for sending students abroad - consists of
oGCDP and oGIP)
OPS: Outgoing Preparation Seminar (A session for EPs, hosted by the Local Committee, to
prepare EPs for going abroad)
PAI: President of AIESEC International
PL: Project Leader
TL: Team Leader
TLP: Team Leader Program
TM: Talent Management (The HR portfolio of AIESEC)
TMP: Team Member Program
VD: Value Delivery (The stage of the customer flow where we deliver leadership development,
i.e. exchange)
X: Exchange
