NARRATIVE REPORT ON SEF PROJECT
With the compelling need
to address the local food shortage and
remedy the Malnutrition problems ,
Josefa V. Ycasiano Memorial School
implemented the Gulayan sa Paaralan
project (GPP). Idle spaces in our school was converted into vegetable gardens.
Our pupils in EPP classess were taught how to cultivate soil and plant
vegetables for their consumption. In this program ,pupils awareness on
backyard farming was developed . We utilized gardening as a mean of learning.
In this aspect, this years SEF Fund amounting to Ten Thousand
pesos was intended for the construction of the steel trellis in our garden.
Compared to bamboo
poles

that were used before ,the

newly

constructed trellis was far

more

sturdier and much durable

to

use.
Through the Gulayan sa
Paaralan Program, our
school produced quality

and fresh vegetables that reduced the rate of malnutrition. Our school feeding
program also benefitted from this program.
Indeed, our school is very thankful for the fund allocated to our
school.
